Katie Cook and Jessie McNamara on this week's show!
Katie Cook is an American actress, host, singer/songrwriter and correspondent for Country Music Television network (CMT) where she currently hosts CMT Insider. Cook often appears as the host of CMT's live or recorded segments from red carpet events and has interviewed Taylor Swift, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon, just to name a few. In addition to CMT hosting spots Cook has also hosted "Miss America Live From Las Vegas," "Martina McBride: Timeless Live," "LeeAnn Womack: There's More," "Kenny Chesney: Be As You Are," "Leann Rimes Live," "Alison Krauss and Union Station Live," "Travis Tritt: Strong Enough to Be,""Farm Aid," and "Country Freedom Concert." She's the co-host of the NBC television series Nashville Star and In 2009, she hosted a report of "An Evening of Country Music" at the White House.
She's chatted it up with Anderson Cooper and Dolly Parton, and this week she chat's it up with us! Joining us to retain her crown as TBS's most co-hosted sidekick is Jessie McNamara! Both fresh from attending this week's Country Music Awards, we'll be kickin' it up for a good ol' time this week! (sorry, I couldn't resist!)

Melissa Peterman is finally here!

You loved her as Reba McEntire's best friend and nemesis on the hit show Reba and tonight we have funny lady Melissa Peterman right here on The Baub Show! She has been my most requested guest since she called in a few weeks ago during Autumn McEntire's show! She'll be talking about her current gig as host of CMT's The Singing Bee and her new internet comedy series, Dusty Peacock. Also joining in on what is sure to be an unpredictable, but totally hilarious show, will be our friend and third time co-host, Jessie McNamara. All here on www.thebaubshow.com
Also, we are trying out all new equipment and a whole new hosting site, so please make sure if you plan to call in, you use the new number: (724) 444-7444 and then enter Call ID: 58753#
Also, the show will be live at 7pm PST instead of our usual 8:30pm. We are looking forward to a great show and hope to see all of you there listening and participating live in the chat room!

Tuesday night recap
I am listening to the show again right now because the whole thing happened in such a blur! Not only were we lucky enough to have Autumn McEntire and Jessie McNamara on the show, but the side-splitting and hilarious Melissa Peterman called in and gave me a case of the laugh tears.

She is one funny woman and it took my mouth awhile to stop hurting from the laughter! Thanks again to everyone who came back for more and for the new listeners we picked up tonight. We had 250 people listen to tonight's show, our most yet. Each week this little snowball is getting bigger and bigger and I have to thank everyone who encourages me throughout the week and everyone who shows up to listen. Thank you!!!
Next week, we've got Ryan O'Connor and a whole lot of Big Brother!

Join us live this week with Autumn McEntire and Jessie McNamara
Where to begin?
The last week has been an absolute whirlwind! I had a birthday, spent the week in Tiburon on business and celebrated the holiday in Hermosa Beach. I'm happy exhausted and ready to start this week with a relaxed heart. One of my highlights last week was, without question, the latest episode of The Baub Show featuring Ashley Arrison and Lori Jean Hart. After listening to it on my drive back to Los Angeles, I have declared it my favorite so far. I loved the chemistry of the conversation and it gives me that much more confidence that I am on to something here. Special thanks as well to Shane Mack who also called in to wish Ms. Arrison and happy birthday!
This week, I am hoping to keep the momentum building with another knock out show. This time we have country recording artist, Autumn Mc Entire and my first returning co-host, Jessie McNamara. Autumn has just released her second album, Seven Seasons and it is awesome! We'll be talking about the album, the inspiration and what it's like being part of a famous singing family. We'll also be catching up with Jessie and getting all of the details from her Nashville premiere of Me and My Bus.
It's fixin' to be a great show and it can only get better with your participation! We'd love to have you call in during the show and say hi (646) 595-3628, chat live in the chat room and of course, help us by telling your friends and asking them to join along as well!

I got my feet wet!
Thank you everyone who came out tonight to listen and everyone who takes the time to listen and download for weeks to come! It was so much fun and I am really excited to grow this and make it bigger, better and more fun week after week from now!
Below are the two videos I said I would be posting- the trailer for Jessie's one woman show Me and My Bus and the fan made video for Jake's Hirolude (my personal favorite moment on his album).
Tonight's theme was putting it out in the universe and declaring what we want. Mine is to make The Baub Show a hit! I'm not going to be shy or coy about it anymore. This is something I've always wanted to do and why not? I can't have it if I don't ask for it, and I am officially asking!
What do you want? What have you been preventing yourself from attaining? Declare it now and go after it! The time is now!!
Thanks for listening. Come back next week and tell your friends. We're going to have Shane Mack and Sizzle. It's going to be a lot of fun!

First Show, First Guests... Here we go!
Even though Madonna says, "he has to go", Kevin Costner was on to something when he said, "if you build it, they will come." Well, he actually didn't say it, a bunch of whispering ghosts said it and actually some writer in Hollywood told them to say it, but it is still true nonetheless!
I started building, and now it is coming together! Last year, I premiered The Baub Show on LiveVideo.com. Unfortunately, I am not sure we were all on the same page and the internal politics of the website eventually caused an implosion. The experience left me with trepidations about doing the show elsewhere, because if I am going to do it, I want to do it right. And right to me, means a budget and time to commit fully to the project.
Then a few months ago, I met my new friend Pauly (who feels like I've known forever), who runs his own show called, "Pauly and Marky's Fruit Salad Show" over at BlogTalkRadio. The second I listened to it, my blood started pumping and my heart felt warm, because I knew this was the perfect format for me right now.
When I was 15, I moved from Washington to California and began recording radio shows for my friend Paula. It was called "B.A.U.B. Radio" and there are few things in my life I can remember being so committed to! That was also the resurrection of the Baub monicker and I have maintained it ever since.
With modern technology what it is, I can chat with my friends about anything I want for an hour each week and my friends can call in and join me! The best part is, if you miss the live broadcast, you can subscribe and download the podcast to your iPod via iTunes! This was a huge problem with the video show, as no one wanted to sit still in front of their computers for 45 minutes watching (and honestly, I don't blame them. I have a hard time watching a full TV show online when I miss it.)
I'm going live for the very first "official" time this Tuesday at 8:30pm PST! Come right back here to this website and we will be broadcasting live from that little player in the upper right corner (where you can still hear my test show with "Lucy" and "Sizzle" (featuring the hysterical "Theodore Remix of Jane Wiedlin's Tangled)). You can also visit blogtalkradio.com/theBaubShow to sign up for email notifications and visit the live chat room (I am hoping to have one here by this Tuesday's show).
Now for the best part! For my first show, there were only two guests that I wanted and they both said yes immediately. Jake Walden and Jessie McNamara were my first guests when The Baub Show premiered last summer and I'm honored to have them back to talk about the last year and play a little music!
Please join us! I don't know if I am ready for you to tell your friends yet, but I am definitely wanting my friends at my new party!
